recommended that this function be invoked. The Pitot and Static ports must still be open to
ambient when using this function. When the "GO" key is pressed in the screen shown below,
the 6300 will "memorize" the ambient pressure it measures, as the "Ground" pressure. This
will be used later when the "Go To Ground" function is invoked.

3.5.8 FUNCTION 8: GO TO GROUND

The "Go To Ground" function is used to bring the aircraft back down to "Ground". The
target altitude is set to the value "memorized" in the "Set Ground" function and the target
airspeed is set to 20 knots and the 6300 ramps towards these targets. Once these targets have
been achieved, you must put the 6300 into Measure mode on both outputs and only then
disconnect the 6300 from the aircraft. The "Go to Ground" screen is shown below.
When "GO" is pressed, the 6300 shows the Main screen. This screen is shown below, with the
new targets of 100 knots and 275 feet. This assumes that the "Ground" pressure was 275 feet
when the "Set Ground" function was invoked.
