Disassembly
To avoid risk of electrical shock, personal injury, or death, disconnect electrical power source to unit, unless test
procedures require power to be connected. Discharge capacitor through a resistor before attempting to service.
Ensure all ground wires are connected before certifying unit as repaired and/or operational.

Thermal Cut-Out (TCO) Removal

Single Oven and Upper Double Oven

The Thermal Cut-Out (TCO) for the single oven and
upper double oven is located above the oven cavity in
front of the capacitors. It is used as a safety device to
prevent overheating of electrical components.
1. Access the control panel area (see Control Panel
Access).
2. Disconnect two connectors from the TCO.
3. Remove two screws and TCO from the oven.
4. Reverse procedure for installation.

Lower Double Oven

The Thermal Cut-Out (TCO) for the lower double oven
is located between the upper and lower oven cavities.
It is used as a safety device to prevent overheating of
electrical components
1. Remove both oven doors (see Door Assembly
Removal).
2. Remove two screws and the lower door latch access
panel.
3. Disconnect two connectors from the TCO.
4. Remove two screws and TCO from the oven.
5. Reverse procedure for installation.

Door Latch Assembly Removal

Single Oven and Upper Double Oven
The Door Latch Assembly for the single oven and upper
double oven is located above the oven cavity in the front
of the component compartment. It is used as a safety
device during the self-clean cycle.
1. Remove front component access panel (see Partial
Control Board Area Access).
2. Remove screws and upper door latch access panel.
3. Remove screws and ground wire from the door latch
assembly.
4. Disconnect six connectors from the door latch
assembly.
5. Reverse procedure for installation.
