GETTING FIRST GPS POSITION

The GPS receiver normally stores the last known
position and satellite data so as to help reacquisi-
tion of position after loss of satellite signals or
power down. When the GPS receiver is used for the
first time, it has no previous position information
and position acquisition takes longer.
