EGR AIR FLOW CONTROL
VALVE
DESCRIPTION
The EGR air flow control valve is located between
the incoming charge air and the intake manifold. It
is used to increase the EGR flow rate at low engine
loads. The valve is never totally closed, but the valve
position depends on the exhaust gas quantity that
needs to be recirculated with in the emission target
(Fig. 5).
