Repeat Steps 1 through 5 to connect each port.
These sections describe how to connect to a GBIC module port. For detailed
instructions on installing, removing, and cabling a GBIC (1000BASE-X module,
1000BASE-T module, or the GigaStack module), refer to your GBIC
documentation.
Do not remove the rubber plugs from the fiber-optic port or the rubber caps from
the fiber-optic cable until you are ready to connect the cable. The plugs and caps
protect the fiber-optic port and cable from contamination and ambient light.
Avoid exposure to the laser beam.
Follow these steps to connect to the 1000BASE-X GBIC port:
Remove the rubber plugs from the fiber-optic port on the module, and store them
for future use.
Insert the SC connector in the fiber-optic receptacle, as shown in
Chapter 2
