Danger!
Store the saw in such a way that it

cannot be started by unauthorised
persons.
Make sure that nobody can get inju-

red by the stored machine.

Do not store saw unprotected out-

doors or in damp environments.
Observe the permissible ambient

conditions (see 'Technical Data').

Maintenance

Prior to every use
Remove sawdust with vacuum clea-

ner or brush.
Check mains cable and plug for da-

mage; if necessary have damaged
parts replaced by a qualified electri-
cian.
Check all moving parts to see that

they can move freely across their
whole range of travel.
Periodically, depending on operating
conditions
Check drive belt condition and tensi-

on; correct if necessary.
Check all screwed joints, retighten if

necessary.
Check pull-back springs of the

sawhead (the sawhead must return
by spring force to its upper starting
position); replace if necessary.
Apply light coat of oil to all guide ele-

ments.

Tips and Tricks

– For long stock use suitable supports
on both sides of the saw.
– When making cuts that will result in
small cut-offs, use an auxiliary fence
(this may be a suitable wooden
board, fixed to the machine's fence
with screws).
– When cutting warped or bent work-
pieces, make sure that you place the
workpiece so that the convex side
(i.e. the outer side of the bow) is
against the fence.
– Do not cut stock standing on edge;
always place it flat on the rotating ta-
ble.
– Keep the supporting surfaces clean –
in particular, remove resin residue
with a suitable cleaning and mainte-
nance spray.

Danger!
Repairs to power tools may only be car-
ried out by qualified electricians!
Electric tools in need of repair can be
sent to the Service Centre of your coun-
try. The address can be found in the
spare parts list.
Please attach a description of the fault
to the electric tool.
12. Protection of the Envi-
ronment
The machine's packing can be 100% re-
cycled.
End-of-life power tools and accessories
contain large amounts of valuable raw
materials and plastics which must be re-
cycled.
