Readjusting the sawhead
tilt clamp
If the tilt angle of the track arm holder can
be changed via lateral application of
counter-pressure even though the lock
lever is tightened, the sawhead tilt clamp
must be readjusted.
1. Set the track arm holder to the 0¬×
position and slide the notch lever in
the direction of the rear of the machi-
ne.
2. Loosen the sawhead tilt lock lever.
3. Adjust hexagon nut (arrow) until
desired clamping force is achieved.
4. Tighten the sawhead tilt lock lever.
The lever must be able to be tighte-
ned noticeably.
5. Check the track arm holder by pres-
sing against the side of it. The track
arm holder must not be able to be
moved.
If the track arm holder can still be mo-
ved after this:
Repeat steps 2 to 5. To do this, loo-
sen or tighten hexagon nut accordin-
gly.

Checking and replacing
the carbon brushes
Worn carbon brushes are recognisable
by:
– intermittent operation of the motor;
– faults during reception of radio and
television programmes while the
motor is running;
– motor stalling.
To check or replace the carbon brus-
hes:
1. Unplug mains cable.
2. Remove the plug (93) holding the
carbon brushes from the motor
housing with a suitable screwdriver.

3. Pull the carbon brush (94) out and
check. The carbon brush should be
at least 8 mm long.
4. Put the intact carbon brush back into
the brush holder. The two lugs on
the sides of the small metal plate
must fit into the grooves in the brush
holder.
5. Replace the plug.
6. Check the functioning of the saw.

Cleaning the machine

Remove chips and sawdust with
brush or vacuum cleaner from:
– the setting devices;
– the operating elements;
– the motor ventilation slots;
– space below table insert.
Clean the laser unit using a cotton
cloth.
