depth limiter (65) makes grooving pos-

Initial Operation

Installing the chip bag

A
Danger!
Some types of wood dust (e.g. beech,
oak, ash) may cause cancer when in-
haled.
– Always work with the dust bag in-
stalled or a suitable dust collector
connected.
– In addition, use a dust respirator,
because the saw dust is not com-
pletely collected or extracted re-
spectively.
– Empty the chip bag periodically.
Wear dust respirator when emptying
the chip bag.
When operating the machine with the
dust bag supplied:
Place the dust bag (68) on to the
dust extraction port (66). Make sure
the zipper (67) on the dust bag is
closed.

When operating the machine with a
dust collector connected:

Use a suitable adaptor for connect-
ing the dust collector.
Make sure the dust extractor meets
the requirements specified in the
section "Technical Specifications".

Installing the work clamp

The work clamp installs in two posi-
tions:
– For wide workpieces:
insert the work clamp into the rear
hole (70) in the table and secure
with the lock bolt (71):

– For narrow workpieces:
loosen the lock bolt (69) and insert
the front part of the work clamp into
the front hole (72) in the table:

Operate this device only in a dry en-
vironment.
Operate the saw only on a power
source matching the following re-
quirements (see also "Technical
Specifications"):
– mains voltage and system fre-

does not interfere with the work and

see that the safety devices are in
proper working order.
Use personal protection gear.
Assume proper operating position:
– at the front of the saw;
– in front of the saw;
– to the side of the line of cut.
