Mini PCI Express Slot
The Mini PCIe socket is used to install a Mini PCIe card. Mini PCIe card is a small-form factor
PCI card with the same signal protocol, electrical definitions, and configuration definitions as
the conventional PCI.
mSATA Port
The Full-size Mini PCIe socket supports the installation of a Mini PCIe card or an mSATA card.
To switch between these two signals, use JP7. Refer to the previous section for more informa-
tion.
SIM Slot (optional)
The SIM slot on the system board is used to insert a SIM card.

Cooling Fan Connector
SIM Slot
The fan connector is used to connect the cooling fan. The cooling fan will provide adequate
airflow throughout the chassis to prevent overheating the CPU and system board components.
BIOS Setting
The Advanced menu ("PC Health Status" of the SIO submenu) of the BIOS will display the cur-
rent speed of the cooling fans. Refer to Chapter 3 for more information.
