Warning
Before opening the unit, ensure the power cord is disconnected from the power outlet.
Bluetooth Option kit 130930 is intended to replace the Lantronix Matchport WLAN module on carrier board
109266. This combination provides for a simple RS-232 to Bluetooth converter, giving the user the ability to
send and receive data from the scale indicator via a Bluetooth connection.
The Bluetooth Option Kit contains the following:
• Bluetooth Module (130929)
• Antenna (98357)
• 6" Antenna Cable (112228)
• 8" Zip Tie (58579)
Installing the Module to the Board Assembly (PN 109266)
1. Remove power from the indicator and remove the enclosure cover to gain access to the board assembly.
2. Loosen the cord grip securing the antenna in the enclosure. If the antenna cable is connected to the
enclosure, remove the nut securing it and disconnect the antenna cable from the enclosure.
Remove the existing WLAN module by cutting the zip tie securing the module to the board

Figure 1.

  • Page 2 To install the Bluetooth option board, line up the two rows of pins with the sockets on the board assembly - J1 designator on the option board with Pin 1 designator on the board assembly - and carefully push the option board fully into the sockets on the board assembly. See Figure 2.
  • Page 3 6. Attach the antenna. • If the antenna cable is to be secured through the enclosure (antenna screwed on from the outside), run the RPSMA jack on the antenna cable through the enclosure and secure with the provided lock washer and nut. Screw the antenna on the outside of the enclosure.
