Clearing Staple Jams in the Finisher

If a staple jam occurs in the finisher, a display
similar to the one shown appears in the touch
panel display. Check where the jam occurred,
and follow the procedure below and the
procedure that appears in the touch panel
display to remove the jammed paper.
CAUTION
• Always be careful when handling sta-
ples. Staple points can cause injuries.
NOTE
• Only replace the staple cartridge when the
finisher has run out of staples. Be careful
when removing the staple cartridge,
because there may be bits of staples and
other material in the bottom.

Remove any non-jammed paper remain-
ing in the output trays of the finisher.

Open and close the front cover to return
the stapler unit to its original position.
