8-3. Confirmation after Reassembly
Upon completing reassembly, confirm the items below.
(1) Confirm the following after reassembly:
• Plug the AC-Adapter [7] into the AC power outlet.
Use a tester to confirm that the voltage on terminal (A) is within the specified range below.

In Adaptors UC 9SF and UC 12SF, the
• Connect the battery to the charger for charging.
Make sure the Battery Set lamp lights.
(2) Measure the insulation resistance and conduct a dielectric strength test.
Insulation Resistance: 10 megohms or more between the plug blade of the cord and the
nameplate or fastening screws on the case as measured with a DC 500 V megohm tester
Dielectric strength test:
(a) Between the plug blade of the cord and the charging terminal blade
(b) Between the plug blade of the cord and the nameplate or fastening screws on the case
The dielectric strength test should be conducted at the following voltage:
Voltage on the nameplate
230 V
CAUTION: Insulation resistance must be measured between the plug blade and the
nameplate or fastening screws on the case; the dielectric strength test must
be conducted between the plug blade and the charging terminal blade.
Under no circumstances should tests be conducted between both plug
blades or both charging terminal blades, which may cause the charger to
burn out.
