3. Secure the motor hoe to the trailer by attaching straps to the
angles of the upper handlebar and to the depth bar, as
illustrated [1].
4. If necessary, fold the handlebar.
FOLDING THE HANDLEBAR
NOTE: The handlebar can be folded
forwards or backwards as required.
If the handlebar is folded backwards,
first tip the motor hoe a quarter of a
turn forwards.
1. Loosen the handlebar clamping
screws [2] by 5 or 6 turns.
2. Fold the upper handlebar section
by swivelling it forwards or
backwards.
CAUTION :
• Check that the cables are not
pinched or twisted when the upper
handlebar section is lowered
3. Fully retighten the handlebar
clamping screws.
LOADING INTO A CAR BOOT
1. Drain the fuel tank and empty the
carburettor
(see page
7).
2. Fold the handlebar as described above.
3. Carefully place the motor hoe in the car boot with
the silencer downwards.
PREPARATION FOR STORAGE
Carry out the following operations to
protect the motor hoe whenever it has
to be placed in storage for longer than
30 days.
1. Clean the motor hoe
(see page
2. Drain the fuel tank
(see page
3. Change the engine oil
(see page
4. Clean the air filter
(see page
5. Place the choke lever in the "on"
position.
6. Gently pull the recoil starter
handle [7] until you feel resistance,
and align the reference mark [5] on
the cooling fan [6] with the mark [4]
on the recoil starter housing [3]. At
this point, the inlet and exhaust
valves are closed. This helps to
protect the engine from internal corrosion.
7. Apply a light coat of oil on areas liable to rust. Cover the motor
hoe with a tarpaulin and store it on a level surface in a dry, dust-
free location.

FUEL STORAGE
NOTE:
• Ensure that you use containers or
drums specifically designed for
hydrocarbons [8]. This will prevent
polluting the fuel through the
dissolution of the container walls,
which will lead to poor functioning of
the engine.
• The warranty does not cover a blocked carburetor or valves
jammed by old or polluted fuel.
• The quality of unleaded petrol alters very quickly (2 to 3 weeks in
some cases). Do not use fuel more than 1 month old. Store the
absolute minimum required for your monthly consumption.
