Installing the Gas Fire Installing the Enclosure o This fire is supplied as a complete set comprising of: Enclosure with the gas burner fitted. Fascia with stone fascia fitted. Stone shelf. Sea coals set. Gather unit [if required to fit flue liner] o The fire must be fully installed with all its parts to comply with the CE approval.
Page 13
o Using The Gather With careful planning the gather should be able to be inserted into the construction opening, the enclosure fitted then the gather lowered down and secured with the screws provided and sealed with a high temperature silicone fire cement or metal tape. This will reduce the required opening size.
Page 14
o IMPORTANT NOTE: The enclosure edge must be positioned so that it protrudes 1mm to 2mm “out” from the final finished edge of the wall. Failure to observe this will mean the fascia will not fit. o The final wall must be flush. Page 14 of 38...
Page 15
o If using the gather: Ensure the gather is connected to the flue liner and sealed. Lower the gather down to match up to the holes on the enclosure top edge. Secure the gather with the screws provided, The gather and enclosure must be sealed with silicone fire cement or metal tape.
Page 16
o IMPORTANT: The gap that is left around the enclosure and the wall must be sealed with a suitable render or fire cement to ensure that the chimney and room are sealed to the appliance. o This ensures that products of combustion cannot be returned to the room should the flue become blocked.
