OPERATING FAULTS
The starter is activated
There is no response, the warning lights
fail to light up and the starter does not
turn.
Warning lights go dim and starter turns
very slowly.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
Discharged battery.
Battery unserviceable.
Battery terminals not tight,
battery terminals corroded.
Battery discharged or unserviceable.
ACTION REQUIRED
Connect another battery to the faulty bat-
tery.
Replace battery.
Retighten, reconnect or clean them if
they are oxidised.
Connect another battery to the faulty
battery. Refer to the paragraph "battery:
troubleshooting" in section 5 or replace
the battery if necessary.
Do not push the vehicle if the steering
column is locked.
