After clicking the Add button, the following page will be available. This screen allows
the user to configure the ETH and PTM/ATM service settings.
PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE)
In the WAN Service Configuration section we can select the WAN Service Type
used for this entry. Options to choose from are PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE), IP over
Ethernet, Bridging, PPP over ATM (PPPoA), and IP over ATM (IPoA).
The information on the rest of this page will change depending on what type of WAN
service connection has been made.
After selecting the PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE) option, the following information will
be available.
In this section we can configure the following parameters.
ATM Service: Select the ATM Service option available here.
PPP Username: Enter the PPPoE username used here.
PPP Password: Enter the PPPoE password used here.
Service Name: Enter the PPPoE service name used here.
Authentication Method: Select the authentication method used for this interface.
Options to choose from are AUTO, PAP, CHAP, and MSCHAP.
NAT: Select this option to enable or disable the NAT option.
Fullcone NAT: Select this option to enable or disable the Fullcone NAT option.
Firewall: Select this option enable or disable the firewall for this interface.
Dial on Demand with Idle Timeout Timer: Select this option to enable or disable
dial on demand.
Inactivity Timeout (Minutes): After selecting the Dial on demand option, this
parameter becomes available. Enter the inactivity timeout value used here.
PPP IP extension: Select this option to enable or disable the PPP IP extension
option.
Use Static IPv4 Address: Select this option to enable or disable the use of static IPv4 addresses.
