Installing printer driver

This machine can be used as a printer by installing printer driver on your computer with "User
Software DVD" which comes with this product.
This product has the following printer drivers. Install the driver if necessary.
• PS PPD driver for Windows/Mac OS
Compliant OS
The printer drivers of this product support the following Operating Systems.
• Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7
• Windows Server 2003/Server 2008
• Mac OS X v10.3.9 - v10.6

Installing the printer driver

In this guide, we'll explain the steps to install the PS PPD driver.
• You must set network before you use this machine as a printer. For the network set-
tings, refer to p. 7-8.
• Before installation, prepare "User Software DVD" that comes with this product.
• It is recommended that the installation would be performed by the system adminis-
trator or the printer administrator who has the authority for it.
• This section describes in the case of Windows 7. For the other operating systems,
refer to the guide of the operating system respectively.

Start the Windows and select [Start] - [Devices and Printers]
- [Add a printer].
2.
Select [Add a local printer].
3.
Select [Create a new port], select [Standard TCP/IP Port]
for [Type of port] and click [Next].
4.
Select [TCP/IP Device] for [Device type], enter the host
name or IP address of "Fiery PRO
[Hostname or IP address] field, and click [Next].
5.
Click [Have Disk].
6.
Insert the "User Software DVD" into the CD-ROM tray of
your computer and click [Browse].
