Check before each start
If you have checked that your model is in
good condition, switch on the transmitter
first, and then connect the receiver.
Now check by moving the transmitter sticks
(set the throttle stick in the OFF-position)
the function of the flaps (direction, amount
of deflection, and ease of operation).
Scrutinise the propeller once again; it must
be replaced even if there is only a tiny
amount of damage present. Hold the
MINIMOA
by the fuselage and check the
rpm of the motor and correct rotation of the
propeller. Keep hands and fingers well clear of the
MINIMOA
propeller. Your

General
The forces which an airplane needs to stay in the
air depend upon its airspeed, weight, drag and the
amount of lift. Flying into the wind creates more lift
relative to its airspeed. Conversely a tail wind will
require a greater airspeed to generate an equal
amount of lift. Take off and landing should
therefore always take place against the wind
whenever possible. Be aware that when the plane
is flying towards the pilot, the left and right controls
are reversed.

Launching by hand

MINIMOA
The
is exclusively launched by hand;
the built-in wheel is merely useful when landing.
We recommend that an assistant executes
launching so that the pilot can react to unforeseen
attitude at any time. Follow the procedure as
detailed below:
-
Switch on transmitter,
-
Check all rudder and aileron functions.

A good way to get accustomed to this
phenomenon is to practice on a PC using a flight
simulation program.
For instance CARSON "CFG Flight simulator" item
No. 508068 can be recommended.
For absolute beginners we recommend that they
are assisted by an expert model pilot and only take
over control of the transmitter when the plane is
flying at a safe altitude.
-
Hold model in the centre of gravity over the
throwers head as shown.
-
Push the throttle stick all way to the front,
testing intensity of thrust.
-
Throw the model forward in one swift
movement.
-
Control attitude of the plane immediately and
climb at a flat angle.
