Safety Information
The copier has been approved in accordance with Council Decision 1999/5/EC for
pan-European single terminal connection to the public switched telephone network
(PSTN). However, due to differences between the individual PSTNs provided in
different countries, the approval does not, of itself, give an unconditional assurance
of successful operation on every PSTN network termination point.
In the event of problems, you should contact your equipment supplier in the first
instance.
Note: The manufacturer should ensure that the vendor and user of equipment is
clearly informed of the above information by means of packaging and/or user
manuals or other forms of user instructions.
This product is approved for DTMF dialing only. When directly connected to the
public switched telephone network (PSTN mode) pulse dialing can not be used.
(Pulse dialing may only be used when this product is connected to a PABX)

Laser Safety

This is a digital machine which operates using a laser. There is no possibility of
danger from the laser provided the machine is operated according to the
instructions in this manual.
Since radiation emitted by the laser is completely confined within a protective
housing, the laser beam cannot escape from the machine during any phase of user
operation.
This machine is certified as a Class 1 laser product. In other words, the machine
does not produce hazardous laser radiation.
