Moving The Riding Mower Manually
Your r iding mower's transmission
isequipped witha hydrostatic
relief v alve for
occasions when it isnecessary tomove theriding mower manually. Opening this
valve permits t hefluidinthetransmission
tobypass itsnormal route, a llowing the
rear tires to"freewheel." To open thehydrostatic relief v alve, proceed asfollows:
1.
Locate thehydrostatic bypass rod intherear o ftheriding mower. See Figure 1 .
Install Operator's Seat
Toinstallthe seatproceed asfollows:
NOTE: Theseatisshipped with the seatswitchandseatpanattached.
1.
Cut a nystraps securing the seatassembly andthe drivecontrollevers to the
ridingmower.Remove a nypackingmaterial.
NOTE: Becareful n ot tocut the wiring harness c onnecting the seatandthe
seatswitch.
2.
Remove t he twoshoulder boltsandlocknutsinthe seatpanasshownin
Figure 2.

Engage the bypass rodsbypullingeachoneout (a)andto the right (b)to
lockit into place.See Figure 1.

Disengage t he bypass r odsbyreversing stepsa &b aftermovingthe tractor.
SeeFigure 1.
NOTE: Thetransmission w ill NOT engage whenthe hydrostatic bypass r odis
pulledout.Returnthe rodto its normalpositionpriorto operatingthe riding
mower.
Neverattempt to movethe riding mower manuallywithout first opening
the hydrostatic reliefvalve. Doingsowill resultin seriousdamageto the
riding mower'stransmission.
