The following guidelines must be adhered to IF FUMES ARE PERSISTENT
If the CO alarm goes off do not enter the room
Open the doors and windows to ventilate the room
Let the fire out or remove and safely dispose of the fuel from the stove
Check the flue/chimney for blockages & clean if required
DO NOT re-light the fire until the cause is identified and corrected accordingly
Seek advice from a chimney specialist or an accredited installer/service engineer
10.1 DO NOT OVERFIRE
It is possible to fire the appliance beyond design capacity which could in turn damage the stove.
You are required to watch for signs of over firing, if any part of the stove glows red, the fire is in a
state of over fire and the controls need to be adjusted accordingly. Over firing can be identified by
warped plates, grates etc, rust coloured steel, paint pigment that has turned to a dusty white
finish. An over fired stove will void the extended warranty. Never leave the stove unattended for
long periods of time without first adjusting the air controls to a reduced and safe setting.
Your Boru Stove has been manufactured & certified to a high standard. Care and attention must

Only genuine replacement Boru parts may be used in this stove. Contact your local authorised
