• Check the body of the stove for any damage or defect – Any damage or defect must be reported within 72 hours of delivery. • DO NOT INSTALL A DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE STOVE. • It is required that the stove be installed by an experienced and accredited stove installer that is familiar with Boru Products, contact the local authorised dealer for advice. - Page 5 • If the stove is not properly installed, a house fire may result, to reduce the risk of fire, follow the installation instructions. Failure to follow instructions may result in property damage, bodily injury, or even death. • Use smoke detectors in the room where the stove is installed. Poor ventilation or excess time loading the unit may cause these detectors to activate.

Metal Parts When installing or servicing this stove, care should be taken to avoid the possibility of personal injury. Flue Collar Place the flue collar on top exit/rear exit of the opening and secure with bolts provided. A cord is fitted on the blanking plate to ensure a good airtight seal. -

Fibreglass cannot be used under any circumstances and could pose a serious health risk. CONNECTION TO THE CHIMNEY All Boru Stoves are certified with a chimney draught reading of 12-14 pascals – where the chimney draught exceeds this reading we recommend a draught stabiliser be installed – please contact an accredited chimney specialist for further details. - Page 8 installation. Flues should be: 1. Vertical wherever possible and where a bend is necessary, it should not make an angle of more than 45° with the vertical. 2. Page 11: Lighting The Stove For The First Time
Fuel should be stored in a dry place and fuel should be dried for at least 18-24 months in the correct conditions or have a moisture content of 20% or below to ensure you get the optimal efficiency from the stove. Wet wood/peat may cause serious creosote, which may damage the flue system and even the stove. -

• Burn only fuel recommended in this manual, failure to adhere to fuel guidelines will void the extended warranty. • After each fire leave the stove to cool down completely before lighting the next fire. • It is important to note that there may be an unpleasant odour for the first few fires, this is nothing to be alarmed about, it is just part of the curing process. -
