Towing
The Transporte
r
has
towing eyes at
front
and
rear.
In
order
to
avoid
damage when towing
or being
towed,
note
the foll
owing points:
Towropes
must
only be attached
to the
towing eyes.
• The
towrope
must be
slightly
elastic
to
reduce
the
risk
of
damage
to both
vehi ­
cles.
Use only
plastic
towropes or
tow­
ropes
with
spring
links.
• Do
not
use excessive force
when
towi ng
and
avoid jerki
ng
.
• The
driver of the
towing
vehicle
must use
his
clutch very carefully
when
moving
off
and
when
changing gear.
The
driver of
the
vehicle
being towed must
ensure
that
the
towrope
is
always
taut.
If
your vehicle
has
to
be towed
at any
time
note the
following
points.
• Switch the ignition on so
that the steer ­
ing wheel
is
free
and the turn
signals
,
horn
,
and
,
if
necessary,
the
windscreen
wiper
and
washer can
be used.
• As the
brake servo only works
when
the
engine is running
,
more
pressure is re­
quired on the
brake pedal when the
en­
gine
is not
running.

an automatic gearbox,
see the instru
ctions
in the
"Automatic
gearbox" section.
Check
whether
the
re
are
any local traffic
regulations concerning the towing of
vehi­
cles.
