OPERATION
REPOSITIONING THE SLIDING MITER FENCES
See Figure 39.
The sliding miter fences may be repositioned for making
miter cuts when additional support is needed closer to the
saw blade. This is helpful when making 45° miter cuts for
crown molding and baseboard.
To reposition the miter fences:
 Unplug the saw.
 Loosen the slide lock knob and pull the saw head forward.
 Flip the crown and baseboard setting lever up.
NOTE: This lever position is for all 45° left and right miter
cuts.
 Push the saw head all the way toward the rear of the saw
and tighten the slide lock knob.
 Loosen the fence lock knob on the back of each sliding
fence section.
 Lift and remove the sliding miter fences.
 Reinstall the sliding fences so that they drop into the slot
in the fixed fence and slide inward until fence stops.
 Tighten the fence lock knob securely for each sliding
miter fence.
 Perform a dry run prior to making any cut after repositioning
the sliding miter fences to ensure there is no interference.
