ASSEMBLY
SQUARING THE BLADE TO THE MITER TABLE
See Figures 26 - 30.
 Unplug the saw.
 Pull the saw arm all the way down and lock in transport
position.
 Lift the miter lock lever to unlock the miter table.
 Press the miter detent bypass half way and rotate the mi-
ter table until the pointer on the miter scale is positioned
°
at 0

 Release the miter detent bypass and allow the miter table
°
detent position.

 Push the miter lock lever down to lock the miter table.
 Move the bevel lock lever to the unlocked (detent disen-
gaged) position. Set the saw at the 0
 Move the bevel lock lever to the unlocked (detent en-
gaged) position and allow the bevel to engage the 0
detent position.
 Move the bevel lock lever to the locked position.
 Place a combination square against the miter table and
the flat part of the saw blade.
NOTE: Make sure that the square contacts the flat part
of the saw blade, not the blade teeth.
 Rotate the blade by hand and check the blade-to-table
alignment at several points.
 The edge of the square and the saw blade should be
parallel as shown in figure 24.
 If the top or bottom of the saw blade angles away from
the square as shown in figures 25 and 26, adjustments
are needed.
