7.4 Make settings
Adjustment without measuring instrument
An approximate adjustment can be carried out using the SMTE test pattern.
Adjust the following parameters in the specified sequence:
• Adjust the brightness such that the smaller square with 5% brightness is visible in the
black square (0% brightness).
• Adjust the contrast such that the smaller square with 95% brightness is visible in the
white square (100% brightness).
• To adapt the luminosity to the ambient lighting, adjust the backlight brightness.
