Trailering

WARNING
Keep everyone clear of stern area when
raising or lowering the outboard. Per-
sonal injury or death can result from
contact with moving parts of the out-
board.
NOTICE
When trailering your outboard, DO NOT
cover the engine with canvas—it will dull
the finish of the outboard's engine cov-
ers.
Trailering Lever
The outboard is designed to be trailered in a
tilted position using the trailering lever, or in a
vertical position.
Tilt the outboard fully us-
To engage lever —
ing the trailering tilt switch on the starboard
engine cover, or the trim/tilt switch on the re-
mote control.

Push the trailering lever up. A detent will hold
the lever in position.
Lower the outboard until the trailering lever
locks into place in the stern brackets.
Use the trailering lever if you intend to leave
the outboard tilted for a period of time.
To disengage lever —
Return the trailering lever to its stowed posi-
tion. Lower the outboard to its vertical posi-
tion.
