Shifting
With engine running and control handle in
NEUTRAL:
Side Mount Controls
Unlock the control handle by lifting the neutral
lock lever on the hand grip. Move the control
handle with a firm, quick motion, forward or aft
until it engages the forward or reverse gear
detent.

Binnacle Mount Controls
Move the control handle with a firm, quick mo-
tion, forward or aft until it engages the forward
or reverse gear detent.

Speed Control
After gear engagement, move the control
handle slowly in the same direction to in-
crease speed.

Fuel Economy

Fuel economy can vary depending on boat
load, hull design, and throttle setting. When
boat reaches top speed, throttle back from
FULL SPEED to a lower throttle setting. You
can save fuel with a minimal loss of speed.
If equipped, use the "fuel economy" feature of
digital displays or gauges to optimize fuel con-
sumption. Refer to the user's guide for the
digital display.
