    PART 1: BEFORE PUTTING INTO OPERATION Safety notice Symbols: General advice for the optimal operation of the appliance General dangers Hot surfaces Before you put the appliance into operation • Carefully study the user's manual and installation instructions before installing and using the appliance! This user's manual includes important information regarding the installation, operation and maintenance of the appliance.

    Technical safety The appliance contains a cooling gas, ISOBUTHAN (R600a). Only transport or move the appliance with the utmost care, prevent excessive impacts and shaking to prevent damaging the appliance. If the cooling circuit becomes damaged and the cooling gas may be escaping, there is a risk of an explosion, which may be ignited by a spark or fl ame.

    PART 3: INSTALLATION Transport and unpacking If the appliance is transported in a horizontal position the oil from the compressor may leak into the cooling circuit. For this reason, allow the appliance to rest in a vertical position for 12 hours before turning it on, so that the oil fl ows back into the compressor.

    Installing the handles For easier transport, the handles are supplied separately in a plastic bag and it is necessary to install them. Remove the screw covers on the left side of the door and place them in the plastic bag. Place the handle on to the left part of the door. The axis of the screw holes in the handle and the holes in the door should be aligned as shown in the picture below.

    PART 4: SETTING THE TEMPERATURE Display and indicator lights on the display The appliance is controlled by means of the display and the indicator lights on the display; the appliance is equipped with corresponding functions and modes as shown on the displays on the pictures below. As soon as the appliance is turned on for the fi rst time, a backlit icon on the display will remain in operation.
  • Page 20 4. Sound alarm If the sound alarm is activated, the "Alarm" icon will be lit and a signal will be made. Press the "Alarm" button to cancel the sound alarm and the "Alarm" indicator light will turn off and the alarm will stop. Door alarm If the freezer door is left open for longer than 2 minutes, an alarm will be sounded.
