General Summary
This fi replace is designed to use Air-cooled chimney. This
unit can use either the Majestic SK8 Chimney system or
the Security FTF8 Chimney system. Each chimney system
requires its own set of adapters to connect the chimney to
the top of the fi replace. Ensure that you have the correct
adapter kit to match the chimney system you are install-
ing.

The air-cooled chimney system is made up of an inner
chimney (fl ue) pipe and an outer chimney pipe. The fl ue
pipe vents the hot combustion gases while the outer chim-
ney pipe allows air to circulate around the fl ue to reduce
temperatures. Please refer to the installation instructions of
each chimney manufacturer to ensure a safe installation and
maintain correct clearances to combustibles.
The chimney system is designed such that the bottom of the
new fl ue pipe section always fi ts inside of the previous sec-
tion below it. The outer chimney sections are installed such
that the new section will go over the outside of the previous
section.
Installation Instructions
1) Check to make sure that all the pieces are in the kit.
2) Install the fl ue adapter with the crimped end into the 8" fl ue
of the fi replace. Push the adapter down into the fl ue until
the mounting plate of the adapter rests on the top of the
unit. Use four #8 self-drilling screws to anchor the plate
securely to the top of the unit. Four screws provided.

NEXT INSTALL CHIMNEY FLUE
ONTO ADAPTER AND FASTEN
TO COLLAR (3 SCREWS).
