Unpack the interface card. Gently push the interface card in along the slot guide rails until the
interface card has close contact with the switch.
4.
Tighten the captive screws with a Phillips screwdriver to fix the interface card.

(1) Slide the interface card into the slot

Removing an interface card

1.
Wear an ESD wrist strap and make sure it makes good skin contact and is reliably grounded.
2.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the captive screws at both sides of the interface card
completely.
3.
Pull the interface card along the guide rails until it completely comes out of the switch chassis.
4.
If no new card is to be installed, install the filler panel to prevent dust and ensure good
ventilation in the switch.
