Switch the vacuum cleaner off and unplug
the power cord from the mains.
Tug the power cord and let go. The cable
then rewinds automatically.
To reactivate or deactivate the cable brake,
quickly tug the power cord.
On vacuum cleaners with an electronically
actuated cable rewind, the power cord
automatically rewinds when the machine is
unplugged at the socket.
If you do not want the power cord to
rewind completely (e.g. when changing the
plug), you can apply the cable brake by
pulling the power cord.

To store or transport the vacuum cleaner,
use the storage aid on the underside of the
vacuum cleaner. Stand the vacuum cleaner
up on its end.
Slide the plastic lug on the floor into the
groove on the underside of the unit.

If the dust bag change indicator lights up
brightly and evenly when the floor tool is
lifted from the carpet and the highest
suction power is selected, the dust bag
must be changed, even though it may not
yet be full. In this case it is essential to
change the dust bag due to the type of
material it contains.
Turn the dust compartment locking lever in
the direction of the arrow to open the dust
compartment cover.

into the holder and close the dust bag
compartment lid.

Caution: The dust bag compartment
lid will only close when the
MEGAfilt
SuperTEX dust bag or textile

filter are inserted.
If the dust bag change indicator is still
lit after the dust bag has been changed,
please check whether the nozzle, tube
or flexible hose are blocked.
Cleaning the motor protection filter
The motor protection filter should be cleaned
regularly by knocking out the dirt and rinsing.

Open the dust bag compartment lid
(see Figure 15).
Pull out the motor protection filter in the
direction of the arrow.
Clean the motor protection filter by
tapping it.
If it is very dirty, the motor protection filter
should be rinsed.
The filter must then be left to dry for at
least 24 hours.
After cleaning, slide the motor protection
filter into the vacuum cleaner and close the
dust bag compartment lid.

Changing the micro-hygiene filter*
When should you change the micro-hygiene
filter? when starting a newpack of bags
(at least once every 5th dust bag change).

Press the exhaust grille latch in the
direction of the arrow to unlatch the
exhaust grille and open it.
Unlatch and remove the filter frame by
pressing the latch in the direction of the
arrow.

Remove the foam and micro-hygiene filter.
Dispose of the micro-hygiene filter and fit a
new micro-hygiene filter.
Clean the foam and replace in the filter
frame.
If you have used the vacuum cleaner for fine
dust particles (such as plaster or cement),
clean the motor protection filter by tapping it
and, if necessary, replace the motor
protection filter and the micro-hygiene filter.

Remove the activated carbon filter by
pulling a tab and dispose of it as normal
waste.
Fit a new activated carbon filter.

Slide the filter frame under the two retaining
ribs and push in the direction of the arrow
until it engages.
Close the exhaust grille.

Replacing the Hepa filter*
If your vacuum cleaner is equipped with a Hepa
filter, this should be replaced once a year.
(See figures 19 and 22 for changing the filter)
Replacing the activated carbon filter*
If your vacuum cleaner is equipped with a Hepa
filter and an activated carbon filter system, the
Hepa filter should be replaced yearly and the
activated carbon filter twice a year.
(see Figures 19, 21, 22 for changing the filters)
Care
Always switch off the vacuum cleaner and
disconnect the power cord from the mains
before cleaning the appliance.
The vacuum cleaner and plastic accessories
can be cleaned with a commercial plastic
cleaner.

Do not use a scourer, glass-cleaning
agent or multipurpose cleaning product.
Never immerse the vacuum cleaner in
water.
The dust compartment can, if necessary, be
cleaned with a second vacuum cleaner or
simply wiped with a dry cloth or dusting brush.
