Starting operation
4.3 High-pressure hose, spray gun and
separating oil
1. Screw the high-pressure hose (fig. 11, item 1) onto
the hose connection (2).
2. Screw HC 45 E-SSP • HC 55 E and HC 55 E-SSP
double socket (3) into the high-pressure hose.
Screw on hose whip (4).
3. Screw connection socket (5) to the spray gun (6).
4. Screw spray gun with selected tip to the high-
pressure hose or hose whip (4), depending on the
model.
5. Tighten union nuts at high-pressure hose and, depen-
ding on the model, at the hose whip to prevent coa-
ting material from leaking.

Separating oil prevents increased
wear and tear to the packings.
Attention
7. Fill in separating oil (fig. 12). Do not fill in too much
separating oil, i.e. ensure that no separating oil drips
into the coating material container.

4.4 Connection to the mains

The connection must take place through
a correctly earthed two-pole and earth
socket outlet.
Attention
Before connection the unit to the mains supply, ensure
that the line voltage matches that specified on the devi-
ce's rating plate.
The green control lamp will light up as soon as the mains
plug has been connected.
4.5 Cleaning preserving agent when
starting-up of operation initially
1. Pull retention pin (fig. 13, item 1) and swivel material
feed pump to a container with suitable cleaning
agent.
2. Turn the pressure regulating knob (2) on the hydraulic
pump to the left (pressure reduction) until it stops.
3. Turn the relief valve knob (3) three revolutions to the
left (k Circulation).
4. Switch on the unit.
HC 35 E • HC 45 E • HC 45 E-SSP
Set switch to 1 (ON).
HC 55 E • HC 55 E-SSP
First set switch button to Y, then to
The direction of rotation of the pulley must corre-
spond to the arrow (4) on the belt cover. If the belt is
running opposite the direction of the arrow:
(ON).
