Loading and Unloading the Magazine and Cartridges

Caution:
Check that the magazine label adheres firmly to the label area on the magazine. (See Figure
30). If the label is placed anywhere other than in the label area, the magazine might jam in the
mechanism. Ensure that the corners of cartridge and magazine labels stick firmly to the
surface and do not curl at their edges. Remove any old labels from the label area before
placing a new label. Never use non-standard labels, and never stick anything to the cartridge
in any other place than in the label area.
Use only cartridges labeled DAT72 or DDS-3. Do not use DDS-2 or DDS-1 cartridges or any
cartridge generically labeled DAT. They will not work.

With the area opposite the side label pointing toward the center of the magazine, place the
required number of cartridges into the magazine. (see Figure 30.)
