Replacing The Power Supply Assembly - Lenovo thinkcentre M700 User Manual

To replace the front-access storage enclosure, follow the steps of replacing the optical drive. To replace the
optical drive, do the following:
1. Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer. Then,
disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the
computer.
2. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 52.
3. Remove the front bezel. See "Replacing the front bezel" on page 59.
4. Locate the optical drive. See "Computer components" on page 6.
5. Disconnect the signal cable and the power cable from the rear of the optical drive.
6. Remove the three screws that secure the optical drive. Then, slide the optical drive out of the front
of the computer.

7. Slide the new optical drive into the optical drive bay from the front and align the screw holes in the
optical drive with the corresponding holes in the chassis. Then, install the three screws to secure
the optical drive.
8. Connect the signal cable and the power cable to the optical drive.
9. Reinstall the front bezel. See "Replacing the front bezel" on page 59.
