Triggering The BASX A-100

The BASX A-100 offers a very flexible set of power control and triggering options; the way the
A-100 responds to audio and trigger signals is configured by the Trigger Switch.
Note: WHEN THE REAR PANEL POWER SWITCH IS SET TO OFF, THE BASX A-100 IS FULLY OFF,
AND WILL NOT RESPOND TO AUDIO SIGNALS OR TRIGGER COMMANDS.
Manual Operation (Trigger Switch set to ON)
In this mode, the BASX A-100 is controlled solely by the rear panel AC Power Switch.
- To turn the A-100 On, switch the AC Power Switch On.
(The halo ring around the Volume knob will illuminate blue.)
- To turn the A-100 Off, switch the AC Power Switch Off.
Triggered Operation (Trigger Switch set to OFF)
In this mode, the BASX A-100 will respond to external trigger signals from other devices.
- If the rear panel AC Power Switch is Off, the A-100 will remain Off.
- If the rear panel AC Power Switch is On, but no trigger signal is present, the A-100 will
remain in Standby mode (the halo ring on the Volume knob will illuminate amber).
- When a trigger signal is recieved, the A-100 will switch On (the halo ring will light blue);
when the trigger signal stops, the A-100 will return to Standby (the halo ring will return
to amber).
Auto Operation (Audio Signal Sense)
In this mode, the BASX A-100 will automatically turn On when an audio signal is detected.
- If the rear panel AC Power Switch is Off, the A-100 will remain Off.
- If the rear panel AC Power Switch is On, but no incoming audio signal is detected,
the A-100 will remain in Standby mode (the halo ring on the Volume knob will
illuminate amber).
- When an incoming audio signal is detected, the A-100 will switch On (the halo ring will
light blue); when no audio has been detected for several minutes, the A-100 will return to
Standby (the halo ring will return to amber).
- Trigger signals from other equipment are ignored in Auto mode.
