Configuring the switch

Key configuration tasks include:
1.
Entering switch parameters. (Enabling or disabling Multi-initiator mode.)
2.
Creating zone groups.
Switch-port zone groups: For shared SAS storage enclosures (P2000 G3 SAS MSA)
and tape libraries.
Drive-bay zone groups: For zoned SAS storage enclosures (D6000, MDS600, and
D2600/D2700).
3.
Assigning zone groups to servers (c-Class enclosure device bays).
4.
Capturing the configuration for safekeeping. Hewlett Packard Enterprise strongly recommends
this step, especially in single-domain configurations.
The switch is configured using the 6G Virtual SAS Manager (VSM) application. For more
