    MEDIA SHARING Connect up to 2 USB devices to the NF17ACV gateway, access and share all A/V media and file content with all of the connected devices in the house in real time. The NF17ACV becomes the media hub of the house using DLNA/UPnP standard and enhanced wireless capabilities to create a reliable high-speed home network.

    LED indicators The NF17ACV has been designed to be placed on a desktop. All of the cables exit from the rear for easy organization. The display is visible on the front of the NF17ACV to provide you with information about network activity and the device status. See below for an explanation of each of the indicator lights.

    Interfaces Rear The following interfaces are available on the NF17ACV: NUMBER INTERFACE DESCRIPTION Use the provided RJ-11 cable to connect the router to the telephone line operating your xDSL service. Telephone 1 and 2 Connect a regular telephone handset here for use with a VoIP account.

    Press the 5G WPS button to activate the WPS pairing function for the 5GHz radio. USB 2 Connect an external USB hard drive here to use the NAS feature of the NF17ACV. Power button Toggles the power on and off.

    Do not place the device in direct sunlight or in hot areas. Transport and handling When transporting the NF17ACV, it is recommended to return the product in the original packaging. This ensures that the product will not be damaged. Note: In the event the product needs to be returned, ensure it is securely packaged with appropriate padding to prevent damage during courier transport.

    The wireless connection between your NF17ACV and your WiFi devices will be strong when they are in close proximity and have direct line of sight. As your client device moves further away from the NF17ACV or solid objects block direct line of sight to the router, your wireless connection and performance may degrade.
  • Page 14: Choosing The "Quietest" Channel For Your Wireless Network

    Wait approximately 60 seconds for the NF17ACV to power up. Connecting a client via Ethernet cable Connect the yellow Ethernet cable provided to one of the ports marked ‘LAN’ at the back of the NF17ACV. Connect the other end of the yellow Ethernet cable to your computer.

    Web based configuration interface First-time setup wizard Please follow the steps below to configure your NF17ACV Wireless router via the web based configuration wizard. Open a web browser and type http://192.168.20.1/ into the address bar at the top of the window.

    Voice This section explains how to configure the VoIP settings of the NF17ACV. VoIP Status The Voice Status page displays the registration status of your SIP accounts and the total call time of each account. SIP Basic Setting The SIP Settings page is where you enter your VoIP service settings as supplied by your VOIP service provider (VSP). If you are unsure about a specific setting or have not been supplied information for a particular field, please contact your VoIP service provider to verify if this setting is needed or not.

    STEP CORRECTIVE ACTION Make sure that the NF17ACV power adaptor is connected to the device and plugged in to an appropriate power source. Use only the supplied power adaptor. Check that the NF17ACV and the power source are both turned on and device is receiving sufficient power.
