  • Page 2 There are two ways of accessing the files stored in the USB storage device that is connected to the modem. The Guest Mode, which is the default mode, allows access to any device connected to the NB16WV-02 without security. The Authorization Mode, allows access to devices after going through security by entering a specific username and password.
  • Page 3 2. Click the Switch to Advanced View to open the NAS view of the configuration page. 3. Select the NAS Settings menu then click the Access Control option.
  • Page 4 6. Click on the User Configuration button to view and edit the user accounts for the USB storage. 7. Type in a user name and password. (e.g. username is netcomm and the password is a12345) 8. Click the Add button then the user will be created and displayed as shown below.
  • Page 5 Guest Mode (Default) Guest Mode is enabled by default. You would only need to follow these steps if you have previously enabled the Authorization Mode: 1. Navigate to http://192.168.20.1 in a web browser using “admin” (without quotes) as both the username and password to login to the router.
  • Page 6 3. Select the NAS Settings menu then click the Access Control option. 4. Select the Guest mode option as the Security Level. 5. Click the Save button to enable the Guest mode.
