assembly and fitting
important
For safety reasons the blade unit is
designed so that it will not fit onto
the power unit unless the goblet is in
place. Consequently the goblet
cannot be removed whilst the
blender is assembled on the power
unit.
Place the sealing ring in the blade
unit. Screw the goblet into the blade
unit in a clockwise direction. When
fitting the goblet, the blade unit
must not be resting on a flat
surface as the safety interlock tabs
must be free to drop down when
assembling. Ensure the lid washer is
correctly positioned in the lid recess,
then fit the filler cap. For glass or
plastic goblets locate the lid by
turning in a clockwise direction. For
stainless steel goblets push the lid
firmly down to locate.
Place the blender onto the power
unit and turn clockwise until it locks
into position. Turn anti-clockwise to
remove.
Note
To ensure that there are no leaks,
wet the sealing ring before fitting it
and make sure the goblet is locked
firmly into the blade unit.
To wash and 'run in' your blender, fill
with warm water and switch to top
speed for 20-30 seconds. Remove
from the power unit. Empty out the
water and dry. The blender is now
ready for use.

stainless steel goblet the maximum

using your Kenwood
blender
Your Kenwood Blender has two
speeds and a pulse position. Use
speed 1 for lighter blending eg.
batters, milk shakes, scrambled
eggs and speed 2 for heavier mixes
eg. soups, pates and mayonnaise.
Turn to the pulse position when a
quick burst of power is required. The
pulse will operate for as long as it is
held in position.
processing dry ingredients
e.g. making breadcrumbs, chopping
nuts etc.
Remove the Filler Cap from the lid
and cut the food into pieces to drop
through the hole.
Switch on the appliance and drop
the food onto the revolving blades.
Wait for each piece to be processed
before dropping the next, keeping
your hand over the opening
meantime. When no more can be
processed empty the goblet and
start again. Do not load dry
ingredients into the blender before
switching on.
blending liquids
e.g. soup, batters, sauces etc.
Fill the goblet no more than 3⁄4 full,
make sure the lid is securely fitted.
Switch on for 15-45 seconds.
purées
Soft fruits e.g. strawberries,
tomatoes and cooked hard fruit can
be blended without water.
Half fill the goblet and switch on.
Stop the machine to scrape the
mixture back onto the blades as
necessary.
