Have only qualified persons
charge batteries.

DC/Battery/AC Switch
Place switch in Jump/Charge posi-
tion.

Air Compressor Switch
Place switch in position matching
voltage of battery being charged.
NOTICE − Do not change Air Com-
pressor or DC/Battery/AC switch
position while charging battery.

Voltage/Amperage Control
Use control to adjust charging cur-
rent between 10 and 75 amperes.
Use minimum setting for single
standard battery. Increase charge
amperage for multiple batteries or
larger size batteries.

Charging current automatically
stops when terminal voltage is
15 to 25 percent above re-
quired battery voltage.
Start engine and charge battery for
10 minutes. Check battery voltage.
Continue charging if necessary.

Stop engine when finished
charging. Stand as far from
battery as practical and dis-
connect charging cables
from welding generator. Re-
move charging cables from
battery Negative (−) cable
first.

Start engine. Attempt to start equip-
ment with dead battery.

Stop engine when finished
charging. Stand as far from
battery as practical and dis-
connect charging cables
from welding generator. Re-
move charging cables from
battery Negative (−) cable
first.
