Disabling wireless authentication is NOT recommended. When disabled, anybody within range can connect to your device’s SSID.  WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) is a basic encryption type. Up to 256 entries can be added to the list. This function allows you to define a list of network devices permitted to connect to the access point. Devices are each identified by their unique MAC address.
