Removing battery
Switch off the ignition.
with anti-theft alarm (DWA)
If applicable, switch off the anti-
theft alarm.
Remove the right side panel.

Disconnection in the wrong
sequence increases the risk
of short-circuits.
Always proceed in the correct
sequence.
Disconnect negative lead 1
first.
Then disconnect positive
lead 2.
Remove screw 3 and remove
the retainer.

Remove the battery from the
holder.
Installing battery
Position the battery in the bat-
tery compartment with the
positive terminal on the left
side.
Slip the battery retainer over
the battery and install screw 3.
Installation in the wrong
sequence increases the risk
of short-circuits.
Always proceed in the correct
sequence.
Connect positive lead 2 first.
Then connect negative lead 1.
