Installing the Castor Wheel
Assemblies
Parts needed for this procedure:

Castor wheel assembly
Procedure
The thrust washers, spacers, and tensioning caps have been
installed on the castor wheel spindles for shipping.
1. Remove the tensioning caps from the spindle shafts
and slide off the spacers and thrust washers

3. Thrust washers
2. Slide the spacers onto the castor spindle to get the
desired height of cut; refer to
determine the combinations of spacers for the setting.
3. Slide a thrust washer onto the spindle, push the castor
through the castor-arm.
4. Install another thrust washer and the remaining spacers
onto the spindle and install the tensioning cap to secure
the assembly

Lift-arm, right

Lift-arm, left

Lift cylinder pin

Cylinder carriage bolt

Procedure

1. Place the front end of the traction unit up on 2 axle
stands using the appropriate equipment. Ensure the
machine is safe to work around.
2. Remove the front wheels.
3. Release the cable ties that are holding up the traction
unit lift cylinders and lower them to the floor.
4. Open and raise the operator's platform on the traction
unit.
5. From the front of the traction unit and under the
raised operator platform, remove the nuts and carriage
bolts that secure the lift-arm, pivot pins to the traction
unit and remove the left and right, lift-arm, pivot pins
(Figure
3).
