Tip, especially for meat: the cooking results on the preset programs may vary depending on origin, cut and
quality of the food being cooked, the programs have been set and tested for good quality food.
Similarly, the thickness of the meat has to be taken into account during cooking; you may not cook food
that is thicker than 1 1/2 inches.

Do you have a question about the OPTIGRILL and is the answer not in the manual?
Questions and answers
When I push the chicken or any other choice - then the OK button comes on - and the big circle doesn't light up - when I push the OK button - it goes to manual.
@Pat A Hudson
The T-Fal OptiGrill may not light up the big circle when selecting chicken and pressing the OK button due to one of the following reasons:
1. The appliance was not properly preheated before starting the cooking cycle. In this case, the grill may switch to manual mode (white LED) instead of auto cooking mode. To fix this, close the appliance properly, reselect the program, press OK, and wait until preheating is complete.
2. The appliance did not detect the food properly. For thin pieces of food, the OK button must be pressed when the indicator is fixed purple to start the cooking cycle.
3. There could be an appliance failure. If proper steps do not work after several attempts, contact T-Fal Customer Service.
These issues can prevent the grill from entering auto cooking mode and lighting up the big circle.
