Software Upgrading

Caution:
Upgrade software only when necessary and under the guidance of a technical support
engineer.
Normally, the software of 4210 Ethernet Switch is upgraded via serial port. However, this method is
rather slow and very time-consuming. In addition, in this method, users either have to upgrade the
switches at the installation sites or gather all the switches to upgrade one by one, whichever will
consume enormous manpower. To solve the problem, 4210 Ethernet Switch uses the TFTP and FTP
modules, which enable you to upgrade software and download files fast and flexibly.
