EP Defaults
This setting is used to restore each printer setting listed in EP SETUP to its factory
default value. Sometimes this is used to help correct print quality problems.
To restore EP Defaults:
• Select EP Defaults from EP SETUP
• Select Restore to reset the values to the factory settings or Do Not Restore to exit
without changing the settings.
• Select Back to exit without changing the settings.
Fuser Temperature (Fuser Temp)
This adjustment can be used to help solve some customer problems with paper curl on
low-grade papers and problems with letterheads on some types of media.
• The fuser temperature can be adjusted to: Normal, Lower, or Lowest.
The default is Normal.
• Select Back to exit without changing the settings.
Fuser Page Count
The fuser page count can only be viewed and cannot be changed. Select Back to return to
the Diagnostics menu.
Warm Up Time
You can change the amount of time the printer warms up before allowing pages to print
by changing this setting from 0 to 5. The factory sets the warm up at 0 or no warm up
time. This time period lets the backup roll heat up and helps reduce curl in some
environments. Select Back to return to the Diagnostics menu.
