Low Oil Pressure Indicator and
Malfunction Indicator (MIL)
The low oil pressure indicator (1) flashes
and the red malfunction indicator (MIL) (2)
lights when engine oil pressure is low
enough to cause engine damage.
The low oil pressure indicator should also
flash and the red malfunction indicator
(MIL) should also go on when the ignition
switch is tumed ON. The red malfunction
indicator (MIL) stays on and the low oil
pressure indicator keeps flashing until
after the engine is started.
NOTICE
Running the engine with insufficient oil
pressure may cause serious engine
damage.
If the low oil pressure indicator flashes
and the red malfunction indicator (MIL)
goes on, pull safely to the side of the road.
