2. If the measurement does not fall within the specified
range (refer to the dimensions and parameters at the
beginning of this procedure), loosen the jam nuts at
both ends of the tie rods (Figure 39).

3. Rotate both tie rods to move the front of the tire
inward or outward.
4. Tighten the tie rod jam nuts when the adjustment is
correct.
5. Ensure that there is full travel of the steering wheel
in both directions.
Maintaining the Primary Drive
Clutch
Service Interval: Every 400 hours
After every 400 operating hours or yearly, clean the
clutch as follows:
1. Stop the engine, remove the key, and set the parking
brake.
2. Raise and latch the cargo box.
3. Remove the 3 bolts securing the cover to the clutch
and remove the cover (Figure 40).

4. Thoroughly clean the inside of the cover and the
inner workings of the clutch using compressed air.
CAUTION
The dust in the clutch will become airborne and
could damage your eyes or you could inhale it
causing breathing difficulties.
Wear safety goggles and a dust mask or other
eye and respiratory protection when performing
this procedure.
5. Install the clutch cover and secure it with the 3 bolts
removed previously.

Changing the Transaxle Fluid

Service Interval: Every 800 hours
Change the transaxle fluid every 800 operating hours or
yearly, whichever occurs first.
1. Position the vehicle on a level surface, set the parking
brake, turn the ignition off, and remove the key.
2. Remove the drain plug from the right side of the
reservoir (Figure 41) and let the fluid flow into a
drain pan. Install and tighten the plug when the fluid
stops draining.
Note: Dispose of the used oil at a certified recycling
center.
