1. Operating instructions

1.1 Description of the unit

The DHA 4/8 L hydraulically-controlled small
instantaneous water heater heats the water
while it is flowing through the unit. The heat-
ing system in the unit switches on from a flow
volume of > 3.0 l/min.
1.2 The most important points - in
brief
1. Set the heating capacity at the selector
switch (1)
Stage x Ö Reduces the hot water outlet
temperatures
Stage xx Ö Full hot water outlet tem-
perature
2. Open hot water fitting on the fitting
ÖThe unit will heat up; display "Power"
(2).
1.3 Operating
"Overheating" light (3) on:
This means the unit is reducing the power
because of an excessively high inflow tem-
perature. Once it has cooled down, the unit
will automatically switch the heating power
back on.
The basic power rating, set by a qualified in-
staller (selectable: 8.8; 6.6; or 4.4 kW at 230 V),
the cold water inlet temperature, and the flow
volume at the fitting, are the factors which
determine the outlet temperature. If the outlet
temperature is too low, set the selector switch
to Stage xx, or reduce the flow rate.
Table 1 (on page 2) shows the temperature
rise at the individual power ratings, as a func-
tion of the flow rate. If these values are added
